Choices

It’s a very short word, but has the power to shake everything. I guess the choices we make don’t just alter our days, but have the power to transform our life completely. Like, what if you had asked out that person you had a crush on during your graduation days. You might have been married to him today. Or something like, what if you had the guts to launch your music career. People would be asking for your autograph today. Or maybe not, maybe, it would just be a path towards realization that what you’re pursuing today is correct. But somehow, that experience would still be meaningful. It’s a vicious circle, if you look at it. Though I still feel that there are two ways to look at it:
1) What if the probability of making one out of the several choices has already been calculated and our destiny has already been decided. Then we are only following what we have already been planned for. It’s fun isn’t it? Going ahead with the so called ‘choices’ and unfolding what has been decided for us.
2) What if every choice that we make demolishes every other possibility our destiny could have, and create a new path for us, which will only be built further by making another infinite sets of choices. No one knows what it is going to be. Because it can alter every single moment, with every new choice that we make. It’s also fun right ? Taking complete charge of our lives, steering it the way we want. But super scary as well, as we know – one wrong choice, all good possibilities gone.
Well, whatever the case is out of these two, one thing is confirmed for sure, that our lives keeps changing, and we’ll have to make ‘n’ choices with time. If we make a good one, it’s gonna fetch us happiness, and if we make a bad one, it’s gonna fetch us a wonderful experience and the wisdom to make a good choice the next time.
